The Boston Celtics Gordon Hayward seems ready for a comeback season
NBC Sports’ A. Sherrod Blakely got a chance to hear the Boston Celtics Gordon Hayward talk about his present health and conditioning in Boston over the summer. It has been roughly 22 months since Gordon’s cringe-worthy left an.kle injury in the 2017-18 season opener. He has worked with the Celtics staff over the summer, and he says his leg feels amazing. It is very apparent that Hayward is ready for a comeback season.
Nice to hear from Gordon Hayward on his health. There is nothing flamboyant about Gordon, so you can be sure he is working hard on conditioning and a new start for him.

“Back to no restrictions. That was really nice. Being able to train the way I’m used to training. Not have to worry about surgery, too. It’s been really good from that standpoint.”- #Celtics Gordon Hayward on his summer getting ready for the season. pic.twitter.com/4ac0VLjJpD

Having no restrictions on his training and facing no further surgeries seem to be at the forefront of Hayward’s positive attitude about his health and the coming season for the Boston Celtics. Last summer and for the previous season, Gordon was under certain restrictions in his rehab program. All of that seems to be off the table.
It has been a long haul for Hayward since his injury in the first five minutes of his first game as a Celtic. There were initially questions about the injury being of a career-ending nature, but that is in the past. We welcome him back.
