Boston Celtics Grant Williams talks about what he can bring to the table for the 2019 Celtics. His impact will be important for the C’s this season.

Over the course of the summer, the rookie class of the Boston Celtics became pretty popular within the fan base and the city.  This is by far one of my favorite Celtics rookie classes in a while.  The team hit all of the targets they were looking for during this draft.  The C’s were also able to land 7’7” Tacko Fall.  The Boston Celtics are structured to be one of the stronger teams in the East.

Out of all the rookies, I am most excited for the future of Grant Williams.  Grant was a 2x SEC Player of the Year while at Tennessee.  His versatility is something that I think will be important for this Celtics team.  This summer since becoming a Boston Celtic, Grant has gone to Fenway Park, rode roller coasters, and made bonds with his new teammates along the way.

We have learned a lot about Grant in his short time here with the Celtics.  But what I can say for sure is that Grant seems like he is one of the nicest and most kind hearten person in the world.  Williams has an incredible and contagious personality, and he knows it is important to bring that energy to anyone he interacts with.

Grant is a team oriented player and it shows.  I think if Grant Williams could have one wish granted, he would wish for world happiness.  This is what he had to say when asked about his role on the team:

“To impact not only winning, but also impact the team and culture and the vibe. For me, it’s always been about uplifting other guys and bringing that energy every single day. If I’m not doing that, I’m not doing my job.”

I think Grant is going to make a huge impact on the team right from the start of the season.  His versatility will allow Brad Stevens to use him in a variety of ways and at multiple positions.  As I’ve said before, I do think Grant eventually becomes a starter at some point this season.  He is poised for greatness and very mature for his age.

When the Celtics drafted Grant Williams in the first round of the 2019 NBA Draft, Celtics coach Brad Stevens had some pretty great things to say about his new player.  Stevens even went on to say that he thinks Grant is “one of the few that I think can change his game pretty dramatically, and still impact winning.”

I’m very intrigued to see what the Celtics come up with in regards to Grant Williams.  There are so many options available to them with a guy like Grant on the floor.  He brings so much more versatility to the Celtics.
