Boogie can’t catch a break – three serious injuries to the same leg.
DeMarcus Cousins has reportedly suffered a serious third injury to his left leg – this time a torn ACL. The two prior injuries, also on the same leg, were an Achilles issue and torn quad. This most likely means Cousins will miss the entire 2019-20 season, and it does not bode well for his NBA future.

Agent: Cousins has torn ACL; may miss season
Lakers center DeMarcus Cousins has suffered a torn ACL to his left knee and could miss the entire season, his agent told ESPN.
DeMarcus signed a $3.5 million, one-year deal with the Lakers, and he was slated to get a lot of time at the center spot, with newly-acquired Anthony Davis alternating between the four and five spots. That just changed.
The most-likely starting unit for the Lakers would be Davis at center, Kyle Kuzma at the four, Lebron James at small forward and Rajon Rondo and Danny Green at the guard slots. That depleted unit certainly has Championship potential, but a missing-in-action Boogie dims their hopes.
If Cousins had remained uninjured and returned to close to what he was at his peak, Los Angeles would have had a Fearsome Foursome in the front court. This occurrence certainly raises the Title hopes of some Western Conference teams, including the Clippers, Jazz and Nuggets. And with the race in the East wide open, whatever team comes out of the Eastern Finals just had their aspirations elevated.
This is a tough one for Boogie Cousins. Three serious injuries to the same leg could, in the extreme, mean an end to his NBA career. We hope not. He only just turned 29 – too early to end a career. Here’s hoping for a complete recovery for him.
